Several high end area restaurants are pleased to have this high quality organic produce to serve their customers. Their chefs want the best and they find it here. In return they provide their kitchen waste for the farm to compost.
City Farm is a unique, mobile farm model that makes use of vacant city property. The crops are grown in raised beds which are placed right over the existing surface. Sometimes that surface is sod, sometimes it is concrete. One can become disoriented stumbling upon a fully functioning farm in a neighborhood known previously as the home of the Cabrini Green housing project. It doesn’t get more urban than this.
